If it’s a Barbaresco I’m ready to try it…even (especially?) if it’s older than I am. Is this the theme?

I’m sorry to hear the Focaccia didn’t turn out, but I look forward to baking some bread and sipping some wine in a few short weeks!

Aaron’s gotten me excited to sample some of his new cooking as well. I see some promising upcoming posts on Dgourmac…

      Hi, Ben,

Thanks for the comment. I’m thinking of doing a deep-dive into the two most notable Italian red grapes: Nebbiolo (Barolo, Barbaresco) and Sangiovese (Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino). Then we can explore differences due to terroir, age, and wine-making. Whad’ya think? By the way, the 1965 Barbaresco is likely to be undrinkable. Barbara got it for me on the Channel 2 auction eons ago, and it wasn’t great then, as I remember.

And of course, I am eager to try Aaron’s artistry. See you soon.

these look great, i think it is a great idea to focus on a smaller more specific group of wines. ive gotta say thats pretty impressive to keep a bottle of anything around for so long…

Stunning selection of wines! Although it appears that I won’t be able to attend this year’s wine 202, I’ll be there in spirit, as I attend a training for a law firm with which I will be working during the upcoming year. Perhaps we can share a bottle of Ugandan waragi around Thanksgiving? I look forward to catching up!

    Cheers,
    Andrew
